Heidi Swapp at Art Inspired Studios

This past weekend of tons of inspiration with Heidi Swapp at Art Inspired Studios was just
A M A Z I N G!  She's such a fun, energetic, talented and sweet person.  Loved learning and being inspired by her on a daily basis.  We had the pleasure of Heidi hanging and it was such a BLAST!
My great friend Patti who is the owner of Art Inspired Studios is who made it happen.  She too is such the sweetest and fun loving person.  She has an beautiful store that's filled with the latest and greatest.  You better believe she stocked up on Heidi Swapp's newest collection.  So lovin' every one of them.

Here's my silly and beautiful best friend Lisa who shares the same obsession for anything Heidi.  Haha!

Vintage Chic memory files and fotostacks.  sigh..love them!

Every customer had a bag and a "wand" with numbers where they would raise it and someone will grab any product they need. So you don't have to get up!  Awesome!

Look how beautiful these Vintage Chic papers are.

Heidi showing us one of the Memory File class that was on Friday.

Demonstrating Color Shine which are just gorgeous!  We then got to play and get messy with them.

She of course was signing all of her books from her Signature series book by Northridge Publishing.

Oh my goodness!  Lots of beautiful colors here.  Wait til you get a hold of them and play.  Love them all.

Here's the Color Magic paper where Heidi colored in Faber Castel colors. Aren't they beautiful? Below that..the one with the stripes I used Georgia Peach and applied gold on top.  Gorgeous isn't it?  The other stripe one is Tropicana teal and gold on top.

Here's that Gold color shine.

Black velvet and gold on top.

We had such a great time Friday night where there was this photo booth machine where we all took a bunch of silly photos.  There's Patti and Heidi being silly!  Love it!  My bff Lisa and Diane.

My bff and I with Heidi.

My coworkers Jenn and Michelle.

Then of course, Heidi and I.  Love her!

Heidi's photo she posted on Instagram.  You have to have instagram if you don't have one already.

Heidi's last night with us.  Such a great time at BJ's.  Good times.

Happy scrapping'.  Stay tuned for my post on the photo booth background and props.

IT'S OFFICIAL....

EEEEKKKK!  As you know I've been a long time Heidi Swapp fan since ummm....FOREVER!  I love her innovative products, her creative process, what she teaches and the eye candy creativity that she produces is AMAZING!!  Such an inspirational woman.  I've been creating some projects as a friend for awhile now and Heidi Swapp just officially announced mwuah as her 'Hybrid Specialist'!  As you know she opened her Digi shop a couple weeks ago and asked me to join her in creating hybrid projects using her digi products along with physical products.  Her digi products are 25% off until TODAY the 14th!  So Hurry!  I can't wait to INSPIRE you and encourage you to step out of your comfort zone and dive into the digital world to create a new world of HYBRID creativity.   It's possibilities are endless..I PROMISE!  Here's a layout I did using her digi products and some physical products too.  We all know the craze of Washi tape!  Most of it is not cheap..well here I created my own version of 'washi tape' using Heidi Swapp's No Limits digi paper and tissue paper ( the kind we use for wrapping).  I first taped the tissue paper using washi tape to secure it onto card stock because it's easy to remove it.  Then run it through your printer.  Customized washi tape created!  Just cut strips and run it through a sticker. Voila! And.... you have a whole sheet to work with!  Yay!

I went on photoshop and used Heidi's instaframe added my photo and 'summer' digital word then printed it.  I also took the pink instaframe brought it to my Silhouette and cut it from there. Love that you could take digital elements into the silhouette.  AWESOME!!!  The pink shades 'this makes me smile', explore and getaway are all digi.  I cut the getaway file into my silhouette on white card stock then glimmer misted it.  I love that you can customize the color using mists! Oh and I printed the paper from her No Limits paper onto card stock.  The colors look so bold!   Love it!

To add more photos I printed the 'OPENABLE' from her digi shop and stapled my instagram photos then placed it behind the summer instaframe photo.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope this will inspire you to create hybrid projects.

Happy scrappin',

Maridette

Mother's Day Color Magic Memory file

It's that time of year when we celebrate all MOMs out there. This one is a tribute to my mom and our bday celebration with her on her 65th bday in Napa.  We all had such a great time and a little tipsy.  haha!   Here's a project I created using Heidi Swapp's

I used Tattered Angels Chalboard in grey.  Colored "remember" with a highlighter pen.  I LOOVE using Heidi Swapp's stamps.  So fun!  Her Sugar Chic banner delights.  Sugar Chic Buzz words that are like thin epoxy stickers that's in her handwriting.   I love filling these up with different interactive mini albums that you can place so many pictures in them you'll run out!  SERIOUSLY!

I used Glimmer mist to customize the color for this memory file and created an accordion using Heidi's Vintage Instaframes as the cover.  Love these so much!!  They're genius.  They also come in other colors as well.

Here I used vellum as a pocket for my tag.

Here's a photo of my whole family minus my hubby who is taking the photo.  Check out my sassy little niece.  That stinker.  Gotta love her.

Here I am using vellum as my cover and used a decorative puncher to give texture for the edge.  I also added her labels and more buzz words.
Oh and these yellow chevron trimmings are to DIE FOR!!  I glimmer misted them sparingly then heated it up so it would shrink up.  They're awesome!

I also used Heidi's Neon washi tape to connect the photos together.

Hope this will inspire you to create something for your mom on this Mother's Day.  Happy mother's day to all you lovely ladies out there.  Thanks Heidi again!!
