Baylee's Hope Box kit Pre-order at Scrap for a Cure

Baylee's Hope Box

This special benefit project has been designed to support the Tadlock Family. Here is a little about them. For their complete story, visit their blog Our New Home
"Hello, we are the Tadlock's. Allow us a few minutes of your time to introduce ourselves and tell you our story. On May 5, 1990, we were married and purchased our house in south Sacramento. On February 14, 1996, Baylee Rose was born. When Baylee was 9 months old she was diagnosed with Leigh's syndrome. Leigh's Syndrome is a metabolic-mitochondrial disease. We were told that Baylee would never walk, talk, sit-up or even crawl. We were also told that her life expectancy was two years. But Baylee has continued to surprise us and the medical staff.

Baylee is now 11 years old and getting stronger. She has learned to roll instead of crawl to get around in the living room. Baylee is still unable to talk, walk or eat by mouth; she is fed through a valve that goes directly into her stomach. She usually gets around by wheelchair."...Our next project is to build a house that is designed around Baylee's needs. We have worked very hard with Jensen Custom Homes and Taylor Designs and Drafting Services, Inc. to develop a house where the entire ground level meets the needs of Baylee. The cost of creating a space tailor made to Baylee's needs is very significant and exceeds our financial means.

This is Baylee's Hope Box kit Pre-order at Scrap for a Cure. This cute kit has beautiful products that you won't want to miss. So, don't wait! order yours before it's too late! Here's the link to make your pre-order

I did this layout for Danielle's challenge at Scrap for a Cure-texture and dimension. I used MM noteworthy line, glimmer mist on grungeboard(love them), tinkering ink, Heidi Swapp, love elsie and Hambly. I also distressed the edges with HS distresser and Tim Holtz's paint dabbers & distress ink. So much fun to make. Hope you join in on our challenges every Monday. Can't wait to see your layouts.

ABBY layout

I created a layout of our new dog, ABBY which by the way is working out fine. My DD and DH just adores her. So far no allergies. Yeah! But lots of hair to clean up. Back to the layout. I used the new Theresa Collins line Bella. love it! and HS bling, jenni bowlin frame, KI lace cardstock, MM flower and prima crystals. TFL!

Abby after her grooming session

Our New family member ABBY

We all picked up ABBEY in the morning in San Francisco. My DD was so excited she's finally going to have her own dog. My husband is pretty excited too. We first stopped at Dom and Jhas's house to meet their dog Poncho. We then headed home. Once we got home Snoop, my parents dog ran out once he saw Abbey he ran away so fast. It's been almost 2 days and so far so good. She's a wonderful dog. My DD is taking the responsibility of taking care of a dog just great. Today we had her cleaned and groomed. We then took her to the park to play some catch. It was nice to be out. My DD told ABBEY "I love you". So sweet.

She sells sea shells down by the seashore

My DD loves going to the beach. It doesn't matter if it's cold. She'll be there. One summer we went every other weekend and she collected shells like she always does but this summer we went to different beaches from Half Moon Bay in Cali, Santa Cruz to Laguna Beach. So I decided to make a keepsake so that we could show off her cool sea shells. So much fun. Loved how it turned out.
