Join us on an Adventure.

Along with Heidi Swapp on a Memory File Adventure.  Every week on her blog every Monday we will share an inspiration, instructions to about 4 pages of her NEW Memory File Album.   This album is 34 pages and is packed with lots of interactive pages which includes some variety of page protectors, clear pages and banner type pages.  So every week there will be some tips and tricks and other inspirations that will help you add photos and journaling on this awesome album.  It's not too late.  Come on and join us.

To kick off this adventure check out Heidi's The "LAST" list.  Here's my cover of my Memory Album.  Taken from my iPhone.

I used a Watercolor pencil to color the "this Beautiful" and the arrow.  Used some of the gorgeous and fun Color Pop Banner Delights.  I'm addicted to these.

Thanks for looking.  I will post as soon as I'm done with my pages as I progress.

Who likes to Paaartay?!!

I do!  But I would rather have someone else plan and host them.  Although, when I do I love to plan on how I want the Color scheme and the style of it all.  I love to put some creative touch to the parties I throw so that it's a little bit more personal and it adds a little love to it.  So since in our world now it's all about the media. We connect and communicate through texting, Facebook, Instagram (my fave), Twitter and photos that we take from our mobile devices.  Teens especially have all these at their fingertips.  So I decided I'd create an Instagram inspired birthday invitation.  Check out more details on Heidi Swapp's blog.

To begin I opened Photoshop.  I then opened my Heidi Swapp Instaframe in Vintage from her Digi Shop.  Then open your photo you'd like to place in the frame and drag and drop with in the instaframe.  I then added her name and the "heart" digital element. (the writing is all made up.  I didn't want to put our true info)  Save then open your Silhouette Cameo.

In your Silhouette Cameo, OPEN your invite and duplicate it however many times it'll fit onto the canvas.

Then you'll want TRACE it to PRINT AND CUT.  So on the top right hand corner you will see a yellow and blue box.  Click onto that and then highlight your elements.  Adjust the low pass filter , threshold or scale as needed to get a solid yellow.  Then you'll want to click on TRACE OUTER EDGE.
You'll want to print then cut make sure the Registration marks are checked off prior to printing it.

After it's been cut on the Silhouette Cameo I added the "liked" sticker from the Instaframe Vintage to finish the invitation.  Pretty simple, right?

Next, I created some Thank You instaframe cards.  I used the Vintage Instaframe or you can use the digitial version too.  I cut some Pink Zebra paper from the Sugar Chic Paper Pack.  The label stickers are from the digital Instaframe Vintage.  Just follow Heidi's tutorial on how to convert the png file to print and cut.  I then added the rub ons.  I cut the "thank you" from the Silhouette store on white cardstock and misted with Black Velvet Color Shine.  I then added the Color Magic Banner Delights and sprayed with Gold Lame.

These Label Stickers were cut with my Silhouette Cameo for these cute party favor boxes you can get from your local craft store.

These seam binding ribbons were sprayed with Color Shine in Tropicana Teal.

Lastly, are these cute cupcake holders that was cut from the Silhouette using the pink zebra paper from the Sugar Chic Paper pack.

Hope that these gave you some ideas to add a little touch of you on your next party.

Hawaii Project Life style

Ok, I know that I'm not the only that hasn't scrapped their vacay.  Here's an idea that's pretty simple to get those vacation photos out of the computer and into your albums..Project Life way.  As you may or may not know Heidi Swapp had product release at Michaels stores.  Here's one using the NO LIMITS Paper Pack to document our Hawaii trip.  What's great about this pack is that it has some 3x4 and 4x6 journal cards that's perfect for Project Life. It also has some elements where you can cut them to add to your pages as well as some alphas too.   Along with Heidi Swapp's Clear Stamps and some other stamps from my stash you can customize them.   I also used some Color Magic Letterbox Alphas,  Black and White Letters,  Vintage Chic Buzz Words and some Black and white Buzz Words.

Here I created a fold out with white cardstock and adhered "that was awesome" journal card.

I also used my Silhouette Cameo and some No Limits Note Cards from Heidi Swapp's Digi shop.  Watch Heidi's tutorial on how to convert PNG file to Print and cut in the Silhouette.

I created an extra 4x6 flap using AC 4x6 page protector to add more photos.

Here's a cool thing I've discovered awhile back and have been incorporating it into my scrapbooks.  It's called HP LIVE PHOTO APP for the iPhone.  How it works is that you create a short video, upload it to the app.  It then saves it.  Then create a thumbnail photo so you can share it.  Here I sent it to my email and printed the photo.

After you've printed it making sure that symbol "HP Live photo" is on the bottom right hand corner. You open the app and hover your phone over the photo.

By hovering over the photo with the symbol it begins to play the video. See it come to life!   How AWESOME is that?  Pretty cool, huh?  Now you have an interactive documentation of your photo.  Woohoo for technology!

You can see here as it starts to play the video of one of the beaches we went to in Hawaii when there were high swells coming in.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you were inspired to document your vacation.

Thank you Easter bunny.

I can't believe we're heading towards the end of March and it's Easter time.  Time sure does fly!  Well, for those who celebrates Easter and have thoughts to create a little treat for your kiddos... this one is for you.  Go onto Heidi Swapp's blog for more details.

My daughter is all grown up so we don't do egg hunts anymore but I figured a way to give a little something that celebrates Easter by creating a cute Easter basket with a treat to go along with it.  I used my Silhouette Cameo and Heidi Swapp's NEW Color Pop and Serendipity collections.
It's the 3D Easter Box in the Silhouette Store.  Here's what it looks like.

I then misted the main cut as well as the circles with Color Shine in Mustard and the other strips in Tinsel.

Then take one strip and weave it in and out through the slits.  Then the second strip you're going to want to feed it under the opposite way than the first.  Lastly, insert the strip just like the first one.  The last one gets tricky because it gets a little tight.  So you may need to make the slit a little longer using your craft knife.

It should look like this.

Then fold the tabs inward like so.

Next, place one of the circles inside then on the outside.

Take the strip that has some perforation and 2 holes and apply to the edge.  This will keep the basket sturdy.

Then take the last strip for the handle and attach the small brads at each end.

As you can see I created a banner using Heidi Swapp's Sugar Chic Banner Delights and Sugar Chic Bowties from her Digi Shop.
I first opened  a new file in Photoshop by clicking on FILE- NEW then change the size to 8x11.
I then opened my Banner delight banner file and the Bowtie into PS. Resized it. Then hit print.  Cut it out and adhere to a wooden stick that I had left over from her Sugar Chic Pennants that I had.

I sprayed the NEW Color Pop Banner Delight  and the Color Magic Letterbox Alphas with Tinsel.  Adhered it to the banner and the stick.

I hope I've inspired you to create a cute little Easter basket to give to your kids.  Happy Easter!
