Next adventure..Disney's California Adventure and Universal Studios

The next day we went to Disney California.  This was the first time to see the newly renovated and different theme they had going on there...all retro.  Newest attraction...CARSLAND.  Although, there are no boys in our family so we're no familiar with the movie the place was pretty cool.  Every new ride you can expect L O O N G lines!  So you had to what they call fast pass to ride on the new ride.  This designates a certain time you can ride for example from 9p-10p you can get in line.  Or you can wait in line for 4 hours!  Unbelievable.  Even the Fast Pass line had a long line!  It's not guaranteed you'd get a pass either because there's so much time before the park closes.  Anyways, we were able to get some from 9p-10p and we only waited 10 min to ride.  The ride was pretty cool.  Everyone thought it was so fun!

Their ALADDIN show is a must see when you come to the park.

This is what you see these two doing most of the trip....G I G G L I N G! Inseparable I tell ya since birth!

Off to Universal the next day.

Walking the red carpet.

The backlot where most of the rides are and the studios where they film shows and movies.

The new attraction TRANSFORMERS.  This ride was pretty awesome!

My silly husband.

The girls got into the action too.  Well...my niece decides to pose.  haha!

These artists are so talented.  We had the girls get their portrait done.  Loved how it turned out!

Until next time.  Tomorrow for some relaxin at the beach.  Heading to Santa Monica.

COLOR MAGIC LIVE part 1 CARDS

I love technology.  How cool is it that you can take online classes now right in your pjs in the privacy of your own home!  So AWESOME!  Last night was Heidi Swapp's first of 3 COLOR MAGIC LIVE class. Not only did you buy the kit but you also get a live WEBSHOW.  Love it!  Here's one of the projects I made from last night.  I also posted on INSTAGRAM (@mdettec).

I used Rangers Distress ink Black Soot since I didn't have any black mist on hand onto HS Color Magic stripes paper.  Btw, Heidi just came out with new collection of mists called COLOR SHINE which has 12 gorgeous colors that are coming out first week of September.  Look out for it!  I can't wait to get my hands on them.
Used Heidi's trick using windex to "clean" it up so it's not so muddy.  Yup I said Windex cleaner.  What a difference it makes!  I love how the contrast pops.  Thanks for the tip Heidi!  Heidi gave us a pdf that included the flag. I cut it up and used Rangers stickler to highlight the word.  Love hybrid scrapbooking!

Here's the card tucked into the envelope.

I created a pocket card to house an instacard and photos. Along with her Sugar Chic line and Photo captions.

I used my fave product of all time!! HS instaframes!  This is the Vintage one and she also has colored ones too.  So lovin' these.  I don't want to use them..I want to hoard them.  haha!  Surprise?  I also used her Color Magic alphas and buzz words.
I created a card using these babies!

I hope you enjoyed what you saw.  I'll be seeing you in class if you're signed up.  Again thanks for stopping by.  Have a fabulous day!
Happy Scrappin'

Happiest Place on Earth

We're going to DISNEYLAND!  We've gone to Disneyland almost every year.  For as long as my daughter loves to go we will take her.  Besides, I love it there too! I think it's the fact that it's for families, the joy in my kids face on how much fun she has fun there or the rides.  It's all that and more.  All though our experience there is a little different now that we have a tween.  So that means no character dining to see all the characters, definitely no picture taking with them...ughhh.  Just enjoying the Magical place and the rides.  We usually do a park hopper where you can go to the main park DISNEYLAND MAGIC KINGDOM and DISNEY CALIFORNIA.  They're right across from one another.  Then there's Downtown Disney which I LOVE.  There are shops and restaurants.  My fave restaurant there is the HOUSE OF BLUES which is a concert music hall and restaurant.  Oh and part of the experience are the lines. Gotta love the lines! ha!  Here are some photos from the HAPPIEST PLACE ON EARTH.

Every night they have fireworks but we didn't stay because well...we were exhausted!!  So we went for a swim at the hotel and watched it from there.  Suffice to say we had a MAGICAL DAY.  Off to Disney California the next day.
