Here's a project that I created for Heidi Swapp for her debut CHA winter last January in Anaheim. I used her mini book and created an interactive scrapbook frame. I used pop dots to give it some depth so that the mini book fits right into the frame and behind it is a picture of Downtown San Francisco at Justin Herman Plaza. Lots of Heidi's awesome embellishments!! I can't get enough of her stuff it's so fun to play with. Hope you like it. Thanks for looking.

Mother's Day Color Magic Memory file
It's that time of year when we celebrate all MOMs out there. This one is a tribute to my mom and our bday celebration with her on her 65th bday in Napa. We all had such a great time and a little tipsy. haha! Here's a project I created using Heidi Swapp's
I used Glimmer mist to customize the color for this memory file and created an accordion using Heidi's Vintage Instaframes as the cover. Love these so much!! They're genius. They also come in other colors as well.
Here I used vellum as a pocket for my tag.
Here's a photo of my whole family minus my hubby who is taking the photo. Check out my sassy little niece. That stinker. Gotta love her.
Here I am using vellum as my cover and used a decorative puncher to give texture for the edge. I also added her labels and more buzz words.
Oh and these yellow chevron trimmings are to DIE FOR!! I glimmer misted them sparingly then heated it up so it would shrink up. They're awesome!
I also used Heidi's Neon washi tape to connect the photos together.
Color Magic Memory file. Check it out on Heidi Swapp's blog.
I used Tattered Angels Chalboard in grey. Colored "remember" with a highlighter pen. I LOOVE using Heidi Swapp's stamps. So fun! Her Sugar Chic banner delights. Sugar Chic Buzz words that are like thin epoxy stickers that's in her handwriting. I love filling these up with different interactive mini albums that you can place so many pictures in them you'll run out! SERIOUSLY!

"Right Now" Heidi Swapp Memory File and Storage
Today Heidi Swapp featured me and my Memory File project using her Sugar Chic collection, Memory file, Storage and Foto Stacks. Check out her blog post. I also used Heidi Swapp's Color Magic to cut HS words from the Silhouette machine. Love this machine!!
I just love Heidi Swapp's Memory Storage. Of course, I had to decorate it. I printed the pictures using my Polaroid printer. I used her BANNER DELIGHTS, DISCO ARROWS, STIX and used her packaging as washi tape.

Heidi Swapp's foto stacks made into a pocket. Great to add more photos, memorabilia and journaling.
Hope you enjoyed my project.

Heidi Swapp at Scrapbook Island
It's always fun taking Heidi Swapp's class at Scrapbook Island in San Jose. It's about 1 hour & 15 min to get there but it took us a little longer due to the really bad weather. It was pouring! It was so bad we could barely see the road for part of our way there. Craziness.
There were a totally of three classes. I was only able to take 2. We worked with all of her new collections which a lot of them are sold out. The first one was creating a magnetic book and the second one was using her Color Magic file folders. We made 2 mini albums in that class. How awesome! I love playing with mists and distress inks & stains. I still have to finish them but I will post pictures as soon as I'm done. The last class was an interactive MEMORY FILE book. Wish I could've stayed but had to go to Santa Cruz to celebrate a good friends 40th birthday.
Here's some photos from class.
I'll have more later.

Heidi Swapp Color Magic and Distress Stains
I've been experimenting with Heidi Swapp's Color Magic and different products to use on these wonderful papers. I LOVE using Tattered Angels Glimmer mist products, Tim Holtz distress stains and inks. Another product I haven't played with in so long are watercolors. Here's a layout I used using Heidi's Color Magic with Tim Holtz's distress stains Antique Linen and Sugar Spun. Distressed the edges with Distress ink in Vintage Photo. I also cut up the flower from her SUGAR CHIC line Beautiful. I then painted over the flower with Tattered Angels Chandelier- my all time FAVE! I stamped the date using vintage Heidi date stamp. I cut up another color magic strip to place right below the photo and underneath that I used her BANNER DELIGHTS. The "Dream Big" is from my Silhouette. Love it! I also distressed the manila tag and stamped it that's placed behind the photo for added journaling.
I can't get enough of these papers! So fun. Hope this has inspired you to create a little COLOR MAGIC in your projects.
Here's what it looks like using the pearl watercolors and water brush.
