more from CHAW 2012

Here are more pictures from CHA (SOOC).  There's so much inspiration, yummy products and wonderful people we got to see.

Love Pink Paislee!   I love their pre made tags.  Perfection.  No work.  It's done for you.

My favorite wood letters you can customize....Paint, inks and my have..glimmer mist it.

Love this quote.  My Big Ideas had some quotes framed at their booths.

I've known this product for a while now.  It's the Flip Pal- a portable scanner.  So glad I was able to check it out in person and ask questions about it.  Love it! It's a great tool if you are memory keeper, scrapbooker and genealogists.  You can take it anywhere.  They have this software where you can seamlessly stitch a photo together no matter what size.  It's pretty cool.

The Silhouette is my favorite die cut machine.  I've had mine for a couple years now but since Project Life from Becky Higgins has taken by storm so has the Silhouette.  People have been using to include Silhouette images into their albums.  Ali Edwards also include a tutorial to use her png files onto Silhouette.  It's so AWESOME!

Hambly....love them!!  Check out their washi tapes....the camera one is my have.

Chevron transparency...swoon.  Chevron is big!  I'd say that's the pattern of the show this year.

We also were able to visit Teresa Collins.  Love her!
Beautiful and classic collections.  Everyday moments...love it!  Perfect for my PL.

Doesn't she look awesome?!   She's so sweet and genuine.  Love chatting with her.  We also got her to autograph her Signature Series book.  Beautiful projects.

Oh my.... SIMPLE STORIES collection Mix and Match THIS AND THAT mini album.  Hello...Finally people!  I've been wanting a book like this with those different page protectors in a d ring binder.  I'm so getting these!

Fancy Pants collections are so beautiful.  Great summer collections are a must have for my photos for the summer.

The great news too in this show was that the members from HOF 3 which are no longer around debuted their collections.  Along with Heidi Swapp big reveal....Rhonna and Janet debuted their collections.  Rhonna's debut of her collection with My Minds Eye.  So love her and her work.  So there's no disappointment in her new collection.

Here's Janet Hopkins collection with Bazzill....WAYFARER.  Beautiful.

Wescott and drawings and prizes during the show plus they were giving out champagne.  Oh we definitely took advantage of this.  It made it even more fun for some bubbly while perusing the show.

We were also able to meet Jenni Bowlin.  So sweet.

We also got a chance to chat with Elizabeth Kartchner.  Such a sweet lady and beautiful collections.  Lovin' her stamp, ruffle paper and ready made sewed banners.

Our have too is Studio Calico. Love their products!  Their travel line ABROAD is so awesome.  Their wood embellies our have!  Check out their camera and road wood embellishments you can customize.  I want!!

Chevron stamp.

We got to meet Amy too!  Love her and her products!

Check out her new daybook too.  Ribbons and album.  lovely!

Here we are with Stacy Julian.
Some say they are Twins.... these ladies are so inspirational.

Ali Edwards...So exciting to meet and chat with her!!  What an inspiration.

We also ran into Noelle and her hubby Izzy from Paperclipping at the Prima booth.  I love listening to their podcast where they have their frequent guest like Ali Edwards, Ana Cabrera, Stacy Julian and other special guests where they talk about scrapbooking.  I love listening to them on my long drive home from work.

At the Prima Booth....their mixed media album was so beautiful!!  Can't wait to get my hands on it.

Beignets at Jazz Kitchen in Downtown Disney.  Delish!

There's more photos to share.  There's other blogs that posts photos from CHA.  Here's one from Scrappy Jessy.  Another from SHIMELLE.

Silhouette and Project Life

I have this love hate relationship with my Silhouette SD.  I first discovered it from HOF 3 which is no longer active.  It was the collaboration of Heidi, Rhonna and Janet using digital kits and making hybrid projects.  Well, I got a hold of it and just love all the different designs on it.  I wanted to use it a lot more but was having problems with it cutting nice and crisp images. It was especially difficult with intricate and more detailed images.  I still used it occasionally then I decided to try something else.  Instead of using bazzill paper I used American Crafts.  It made a difference!  But...some cuts were still not cutting to its perfection.  So I read that it could be the blade so I just bought a new blade and their new mats.  We'll see if that makes a huge difference.
I am taking part of Project Life from Becky Higgins.  I started it last year but it didn't pan out after 3 months.  So...I'm taking a different approach in that I'm staying organized, not caring if the pictures are not perfect, edit it if I have time, using a calendar/planner to document and putting important pictures that tell the story during that month. No stress in doing a daily thing.  It's whatever and however you want.  Just DOCUMENT and tell YOUR STORY.
So I am using my Silhouette to add some elements into my Project Life.  I'm loving all the inspirations out there!!  I love printing the images on white card stock.  The great thing is that I can leave it plain white or I can make it any color I want with a touch of Glimmer.  Here are some examples of what I did using my images from the silhouette.

I then Glimmer misted the Chevron image using Tattered Angels chalkboard mist in

Doesn't that look awesome?!

I love this camera image that was designed by Amy Tan with American Crafts on the Silhouette site.

Here's my album I decided to use from American Crafts.  It's the black and white damask 3 ring 12x12 binder.  I just love this design.  The only thing is that it doesn't have a spine label.  So I decided to use Teresa Collins Zach bookplates because these are just my all time fave and is a staple in my stash.  I used hot glue so it would stick better.

Here's my first page of my PL 2012 album.  Photos taken by Momentary Bliss Photography.  Love her!  So talented.  I hope to keep it up.  Loving it!  So come on and join the Project Life movement!

Moving on to another exciting news are the new products that will debut for this coming CHA winter in Anaheim.  Lisa and I will be going again this year!  So excited!  We just have such a great time meeting all the designers, products, doing all the make n takes and just having some BFF time!  The sneak peeks are showing up.  Check out Scrapbook Update for the latest sneaks.  I'm off to work on my Project Life album.

Happy Scrappin'!
