CHA is next weekend!

As you all probably heard all the buzz of the new products debuting at CHA WINTER 2011.  This year it'll be at the LA Convention.  It usually takes place in Anaheim at the Anaheim Convention Center which I totally love.  First of all, the hotels are much more conveniently closer and well, it's really close to Disneyland.  I'm so excited because this year I will hopefully see some of my Teresa Collins Design work up on her booth.  How exciting!!  I will also get a chance to meet some of the ladies on TC design team.  WooHoo!  My best friend and I are going together and it'll be such a blast.  Well, I gotta go and create.

Teresa Collins NOTATIONS debut.

OMG!  I love, love this!  I think I'll buy 5 of these.  I have so many ideas for this awesome kit!  Yay!  Teresa you are awesome!   http://teresacollins.typepad.com/teresa_collins/2011/01/notations-kit.html

Don't take things for granted

Life is busy so we do take things for granted.   This past week has been very difficult for my family.  My parents were scheduled to leave to go to the Philippines tomorrow but my dad's doctor wanted him to get tested for a stress test first.  Well...that happened on Tuesday.  We were hoping that it wasn't severe.  Unfortunately, that wasn't the case.  He had news that he had to undergo bypass surgery.  Needless to say, we were overwhelmed and scared.  Especially my dad.  We couldn't help but cry.  All the what ifs ran through our heads.  We love each other so much that we couldn't bare to lose him.  He's doing ok today with some issues that hopefully resolves today.  Sleepless nights but had one day of rest to yesterday and reboot.  Sitting here today at the hospital seeing my dad smiling is nice.

Don't know what to take pictures of?

Some may think...my life is boring.  There's not too much excitement in my everyday life.  Well....I think that at times but you'll be surprised when you've documented your everyday good and bad you'll be happy to look back at it.  No regrets.  When times are bad it helps to look at pictures that make you smile and realize the more important things...Family.  It reminds you that you're not alone and puts things into perspective.  So... your LIFE is your Life!  Document.  Capture.  Remember.  Here's a nice video from Becky Higgins on documenting your life.  Love it!

Funny thing.....

Well.... Christmas has come and gone.  I still love listening to Christmas music though as I blog.  We had a wonderful Christmas eve and day with our families.  Christmas Eve was spent with my mom and dad's side of the family at my brother's.  We had tons of fun playing the White Elephant game.  There were tons of food, laughter, dancing to the Wii's game Just dance and opening presents.  Remember I posted about our first family shoot with Kim of SuperKimagery photography?  Well...my mom got us a photo blanket of the 3 of us and she got one for my brother's family too.

The funny thing was.....that we (me and my brothers) got them the exact same thing except it's a picture of all of us.  But I wasn't giving their present til the next day.
Here's my mom opening their present and surprised what we got them.

This is what I got for the in laws.  A blanket with Ella on it from our photo shoot from StoryBox Art.
Sorry, the blanket wasn't spread out enough.

Here's what it looks like.  I love these and thought of getting one for myself but now I don't have to. Yay!

Now.... I gotta concentrate on CHA!!  Woohoo!

Teresa Collins NOEL album

I've been working on my Christmas album using Teresa Collins NOEL collection.  I have to say... this collection is so simple yet elegant.  I love it!  I wanted to create an album of details that I love during the Christmas season and all the prep that goes into it and leading to the BIG day!  I used her album from WELCOME HOME collection.  So here it is.....hope you like it!

I created the Santa Clause silhouette on my Silhouette.  I'm still learning.  I tucked my tags under Santa.

I decided to decorate my wreath with pictures from our recent photo shoot of my whole family with Kim from Super Kimagery Photography.  Love her and her work!

For the window, I cut out the front cover of the package of Teresa Collins NOEL kit and used Hambly acrylic page and added alcohol ink to make it look like it's snowing.
I used just the front cover of Teresa Collins NOEL chipboard album for my second page.

This is this years Christmas card.  Photos taken by StoryBox Art Photography.

I had Ella write a letter to Santa Claus on this TC paper from her Travel line.  Inside will house her other letters to Santa from Abby too!

I created an interactive page and also made a pocket for tags.
Love me some Starbucks espresso and Ella loves her Soy hot chocolate.  Don't you just love their Holiday cups?  When they start using these you know it's the Christmas season.

Here's a page with a present that opens up for picture or journaling.  The tag says "Do Not Open Til Xmas"

Love this picture of a reflection of me and Ella on the ornament.

Love this phrase from my Silhouette.  Photo taken by Ella.  Not bad huh?  My young photographer.  Look at that bokeh.  Pretty good.

Folded this page to create a pocket to house tags and photos.  Also used bling on that small white and red polka dots that came with the NOEL kit.

Here's  a pix of Ella decorating our tree and some ornaments that have been around for years.  Of course, Art has to have his football player ornaments.

Our sweet and loyal dog that makes us happy especially, Ella.

There it is.  Hope you enjoyed it.
Merry Christmas everyone.  Be safe.

Christmas Season

I looove the CHRISTMAS season.  Once Thanksgiving is over we put up our tree and decorate the house.
I know it's Christmas time when Starbucks has their Holiday red cups.  Yummm.... I love it!  I just get that warm, cozy and joyous feeling.  The excitement of my daughter saying " I LOVE Christmas!!"  So cute!
Another thing we love to do is go ice skating.  Every year our hometown has an ice skating rink at our outdoor mall.  My daughter loves it!  So we take her there and my nieces come along and skate.

Another thing we love to do is hang out in the city(San Francisco) during the Holiday season.  We love to shop and see all the Holiday decor.  We also love to go to Justin Herman Plaza at Union Square to take pictures by the Christmas tree.  Also to ice skate sometimes there.

Btw, I forgot to mention...these were taken by my point and shoot. I didn't want to lug my big camera around.

Merry Christmas Everyone!!
