Celebrating my parents 40th wedding anniversary

We went to San Francisco to celebrate my parents 40 years of marriage.  It was pretty gloomy but at least it wasn't raining....well until later.   First we went to mass where the priest was so kind enough to bless them.  My parents didn't know until the priest called them to the front.

I love my nieces.  They're a handful but they're adorable.

We then made it OSHA thai restaraunt by the pier.  Their food was so delicious.  Across the way was an ice skating rink they have every year.  Of course, the kids were begging to ice skate.

My parents.

My parents and grandgirls.  Boy, that's alot of drama to deal with.

I love Christmas decorations.

Yup, it started pouring!
My baby brother and my niece.

Love you mom and dad.  Happy 40th Anniversary!

Teresa Collins Design Team

Okay....So here's a little notebook I created once I found out I made it on Teresa's Design Team.  I love Inspiration books and have always had one because...frankly.... I have too many ideas bouncing in my head and I have to write things down.  I covered the chipboard cover with Teresa's Damask decor paper collection.  Sprayed a little bit of glimmer mist on top and added embellishments.  The frame transparencies are from Teresa Collins welcome home collection.  The chipboard star is from TC freestyle collection.  Letters from American Crafts, chandelier sticker from hambly, crown chipboard from Maya Road and i covered it with stickles.  What I'm going to put inside are pocket pages, sketch boxes, calendar , to do list, shopping list and blank papers.  I have notes already written down for what I want to create for her new lines even though I don't know what they are yet.  Excited?  I think so.

Closer look of TC shadow box

Here's that project I created for Teresa Collins to sign in honor of being chosen as a TC Design Team member.  I used an old Martha Stewart shadow box I've had in my stash forever but didn't know what to do with it until now.  Other products used are Teresa Collins Welcome Home line and blingage.  I used a leftover chipboard and placed it on the back of the chandelier to give it dimension.  I then added stickles to add bling.  I loved how it turned out.
Getting ready for the big feast tomorrow with Family.  I love getting together with family.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Teresa Collins at Scrapbook Island

Lisa and I went to Scrapbook Island to take Teresa's class.  Love her!  It was a birthday present from my BFF, Lisa.  Yay!  Thanks Lisa!  The cool thing was too, was that it was the day after Teresa Collins Design Team announcement.  I had the chance to see her afterwards.  I was so excited that she picked me!

Teresa posted on her blog of us at Scrapbook Island.

Teresa signing my project that I designed in honor of making the Teresa Collins Design Team using an old shadow box from my stash and her Welcome home Collection and some Blingage.  I cut up the chandelier and placed it on top of chipboard to give it dimension.

Here's a picture of my BFF, Lisa and I with Teresa Collins.

Had such a great time creating her Friends album.  Pictures to follow after I put pictures in it.

It's official....

I can't believe it!  I get an email from Teresa saying "I'm trying to call you."  Ooops!  So when I get the call I was already getting excited and nervous too.  Then shes tells me that I made it on the Design Team.  Can you say... AHHHHH!  (wanting to scream)  Then I was thinking am I going meet their expectations?  So new at this and NERVOUS!  My family don't really know how big this is and how exciting it is.  They just think... "ok, miss scrapper".  It was so nice to have a little chat with her.  She's such a sweet person! I'm glad I'll get to know her and the rest of the team better.  Well....here's to a new adventure!  Congrats to the rest of the ladies who made it!

Happy Birthday my girl!

Well....my girl just turned 11 last friday.  11 years old!  She's such a tween!  Since there was no school e celebrated her bday last friday with friends by watching Megamind then took the girls to lunch for some more fun.  I'll post more pictures later.  Right now my computer isn't cooperating.  I'll leave you with this pix from our recent photo session by Kim of Super Kimeragery Photography.

Tattered Angels Mist* a* bles and glimmer mists

Have you checked out Tattered Angels Heidi Swapp line that was released in October?  OMG! SO fun to play with.  They have this paper pack that has fuzzy design on it and resist paper that you can glimmer mist on.  It also comes with blank sheets of paper for misting.

Resist paper

fuzzy paper

I created a mini book to put pix of my 39th birthday celebration using their mini album and glimmer misted it.  I also used Heidi Swapp's line of chipboards, crepe and used pop dots to create dimension.

this "celebrate" tag I glimmer misted to.  The tag had fuzzy lettering and resist  wordings too.
