Creative Escape 2010

Here are some more pictures from the event.  I'll have more later.  The event took place at Sheraton Wild Horse Pass Resort in Arizona.  We arrived Wednesday afternoon and was able to rest and relax.  We had dinner at the restaraunt in the resort since there wasn't any other places that were nearby.  Food was excellent I must say.  So, the next day we woke up early to register and to check out the on site store... Scrapbook Etc.  We also registered that day and we all received a cute plastic tote that was pretty sturdy considering how much stuff I had to lug around by the end of the day.

The opening ceremony presented the teachers of Creative Escape and they all received those cute blingy aprons by Mr. Bazzill.  These were all created with Michael Miller fabrics.  So cute!

left to right:   Heidi Swapp (yay!), Claudine Hellmuth, Teresa Collins, Pam Black, Maggie Holmes, Trisha Ladouceur, Jessica Sprague and Margie Romney-Aslett.

More pictures of the Trunk show where the teachers showcase their work and we get a chance to chat with them.  But first I leave you with some more pix from the event.

HOUSE OF 3 girls.  Yay!!

Back from Creative Escape!

Wheww!  Wow!  What an experience!  It was definitely an inspiration to be a part of.  Not only do I get to see Heidi Swapp and the House of 3 girls- Rhonna and Janet but all the other teachers as well.  Such as Teresa Collins, Margie Romney Aslett, Maggie Holmes, Trisha Ladouceur, Pam Black, Claudine Hellmuth and Jessica Sprague.  You have a chance to meet many women from all over who share your love and passion for scrapbooking.  We're in class all day and I must say it was tiring.  It was also in Arizona so it was definitely hot!  Although, we were inside for the most part.  Here's a link to the LIVE HOUSE OF 3 webshow.   Look for me and Jenn!  Heehee!  More pictures to follow.

Art Inspired Studios kickoff....

Well...after one week of hard work the store opened.  In celebration they had a kickoff event filled with free crops, prizes, demos, make and takes, friends, laughs and most of all SHOPPING!  It's nice to hear a scrapbook store opening in our neighborhood.  Yeah!! I can crop and shop now with friends.  Patti and Diana have such enthusiasm, passion and love for what they do and for the people that they share it with it's contagious.   Suzy West along with Daniela Costa, Sara De Guzman and many more were there to crop and socialize.   Suzy West did some make and takes and demos.  She's one of the project designers for Punky Sprouts along with many other companies.  (ps.  having problems with the site in linking websites to the names)  They also had a Canon rep there and had printers where we can print pictures for FREE.

Their front windows are adorned with Hambly's wall decal.  Aren't they cool?

Their embellishment bar.

Here's a mini book I created using Dear Lizzy products, Hambly and American Crafts.

Many layouts that are hung and adorned throughout the store.

Diana and Patti sporting those CUTE Donna Downey aprons using Prima products.  Aren't they fabulous?!!

Me and Suzy.  She's such a fun and crazy lady.

Long time good friend, Patti.  I cherish her friendship.

Art Inspired have so much to offer where no scrapbook store in the east bay offers such as a technique bar, make n takes and product demos throughout the week.  Lots of inpirational samples that'll get your creative juices flowing.  Passionate, helpful and friendly owners that will help you find what you're looking for.  Crop nights, events and not to mention classes for many different skill levels.  I am so excited that Patti and Diana pursued their dreams.  Congratulations!  Art Inspired Studios is Fabulous!!

Patti and Diana along with friends and family worked hard to open the store in a week...A WEEK!!
That's AMAZING!!  Here's some photos I took 2 days before the store's kickoff day on June 12, 2010.

Here's a peek of what I'm working on for the store.
