The most favorite thing my family and friends love to do is go to the beach. So, we couldn't wait to head over to Santa Cruz. Here's a picture I took at Twin Lakes and edited using texture. I love playing with textures and changing the look of the photo.

Happy National Scrapbook Day
Well..... it's creativity weekend for us die hard scrapbookers. There will be all kinds of events going on from all day crops from local scrapbook stores to online crops and inspiration happenings. Check out Pink Paislee's Inspirations Station. Also, check out Tattered Angels where they will be having some tutorials too in celebration of NSD. Here's a few pages that I'm still working on using Teresa Collins Welcome home line. Have fun today!

Bieber Fever
My daughter, the tween has got Bieber Fever big time! So I did an 8x8 layout using some MM just chillin' products. She also started putting up posters of JB and Taylor Swift in her room. This is just the beginning of being a Tween. Sigh***
Birthday celebration for my mom
This past weekend we took our mom out to celebrate her birthday. Her first choice was booked so she wanted to shop at the outlets in Vacaville, of course. Her favorite thing to do.... SHOP! So me, my family, my brother and his family and my lil' brother (well not so little anymore) drove to the outlets, shopped and then headed to eat at a Japanese restaraunt for some bday lunch. What a beautiful day! After lunch we went to get some dessert... some Leatherby's ice cream! Yummy! We had such a fun time but most of all my mom had a great time with family, shopping and a new purse. Can't go wrong with that!
Happy Birthday, MOM! We wish you many more. Love you!

Heidi Swapp at Scrapbook Island in San Jose
I can't believe that Heidi Swapp actually came to Northern California and taught classes atScrapbook Island in San Jose. I went with Michelle and Jenn. Great friends, scrapbooking and Heidi.... what more can you ask for. All I can say was.... So inspirational. I love her stories and personal introduction right before she begins teaching the class. We got down and messy last Saturday using Tattered Angels Glimmer mist to make an album. Then later that afternoon we created a mini album from House of 3. Check out Heidi's blog. A picture of us is on there. Heehee! Yay! Here are some pictures.

Wendy from Tattered Angels demonstrating how to use Tattered angels new products. Fun!

I created a canvas/ hybrid project for her to sign using Tattered Angels glimmer mist, HOF 3 new Garden Bliss 5x7 digital kit. I used their digital brush and printed the first page on transparency. I also printed some of the pages onto canvas too and hooked them all together using from my stash from long, long ago with a binding clip. (don't know what it's called). Funny.... I had won the House of 3 housewarming book contest grand prize when they first started last year. She actually remembered me. Haha! So giddy. blush. I'm such a nerd. I know, I know. Can you tell she's my scrappy "idol"? It's nice to be recognized especially from someone you admire and who inspires you. Hope I'll be able to take more classes from her soon. I leave you with more pictures.
Scrapbook Island adorned each class with treats decorated with flowers.

Sneak peek family photo shoot with StoryBox Art
I'm so in love with photography and how family photos have changed over the years. Last weekend we had a photo shoot in San Francisco. It was actually our first time at Baker Beach. Since we love going to the beach and Santa Cruz (where we always go every summer)was too far for a photo shoot, we decided to our next favorite spot- SF. We thought it was going to be a cloudy day but it ended up to be sunny and temperature in the 70's. We did some beach shots and some urban shots which were so much fun. Check out StoryBox Art's blog where she posted a few snapshots of our day in the city. There's more pictures so stay tuned. Love them!
Here's just a few snapshots I took while waiting before our photo shoot.
